A SiOra e-ticket is the digital QR code ticket you receive after reserving a Komodo National Park visit, and you keep it to show at entry. The park authority asks visitors to make sure its date matches the booked visit. Name and passport rules come from operators, and one says names cannot be corrected after registration.
What does the SiOra e-ticket look like?
Published descriptions stop at the essentials. IDN Times, listing the steps after the quota began, says you download the app or open siora.id and then keep the digital QR code ticket to show at entry. A printout is not mentioned, so rely on the copy on your phone.
On-site purchase ended in April 2026, according to RRI, which gives the QR code more weight than it once had. A gate is no longer a place to fix a missing ticket. A government circular cites weak signal inside the park, so our suggestion, which is not a park rule, is to save the code on your phone before the boat leaves Labuan Bajo and to give a second copy to someone else in your group.
Which rules are official and which come from operators?
The rules quoted about this ticket have very different origins. It helps to know which is which before you rely on one:
| Rule | Who says it | Type of source |
|---|---|---|
| Digital QR code ticket, shown at entry | IDN Times, based on the park authority's announcement | Press |
| Date on the e-ticket must match the booked visit | Park authority, reported by RRI | Official, via press |
| Reserve no later than the day before | Circular, described in a ministry release on the SiOra launch | Official, reported at the 2025 launch |
| Full name, gender, nationality and passport number | Samara | Operator |
| Rangers may check the permit and passport | Samara | Operator |
| Non-transferable, with no name corrections | Casa de Capulet | Hotel with a tours desk |
| Non-cancellable and non-refundable | Park tariff poster | Official |
| Refund only in force majeure | RRI | Press, conflicts with the poster's wording |
Must you enter on the ticket date?
Treat the date as fixed. RRI reports the park authority asking visitors to make sure the date on the e-ticket matches the booked visit. Detik gives the reason this matters to the park: the acting park head said the annual quota ran out quickly partly because visitors entered before the date on their tickets. Early entry, in other words, is something the park treats as a quota problem.
No grace period is published, so do not count on one. With the poster calling tickets non-cancellable, do not count on moving or recovering a missed date.
Boat trips deserve a specific check. If a captain or operator shifts the route so that you would enter a day earlier or later, raise it before departure and ask who holds the ticket for the new day. The tariff runs per person per day, and our page on the Komodo fee per day covers how multi-day trips are counted.
Is one ticket valid for several days?
The tariff's unit is the person and the day, so a multi-day trip has to account for every day inside the park. None of the sources on this page says whether one QR code can carry several dates or whether each day gets its own code. On a liveaboard, ask to see the date or dates registered for you and match them against the itinerary before you sail.
What personal details are needed?
The only itemised list comes from an operator. Samara says it needs each guest's full name, gender, nationality and passport number. Read that as a working list for preparing a booking.
Samara also says rangers may check the permit and passport at park stations, so carry the passport you registered with. Copy details from the passport page itself and avoid retyping them from an old booking.
A scan upload and the identity document Indonesian visitors should enter are not described. Put those to the park before you pay.
How early should you book?
The day before is the latest date published, and it is an outer limit, not advice. According to a ministry release on the SiOra launch, a circular asked for reservation no later than the day before because of weak signal in the park. It also provided self-service reservation points at the park office's Komodo Visitor Centre and at Labuan Bajo's KP3 port terminal.
Conditions have tightened since. The practical limit is now whether places remain on your date, and the quota page explains how to read the public calendar. The circular dates from 2025, so confirm that those points still operate before relying on them.
Must the name match your passport exactly?
Neptune Liveaboards says licensed operators register liveaboard guests in SiOra and that the name must match the passport exactly, middle names included. Casa de Capulet goes further, as the next section notes. Both are sellers' accounts, yet the advice costs nothing: enter the name exactly as the passport prints it, then check it again before you pay.
What if a detail is wrong?
Assume a correction may not be possible. Casa de Capulet says tickets are non-transferable and that names cannot be corrected after registration. That is one source, a hotel with a tours desk, and no park text available confirms or contradicts it. The poster's wording makes the risk real all the same: it rules out cancellation, and no source describes a free swap. A replacement would also need a place still open on that date.
- Before paying, compare each name, passport number and date against the passport and your trip plan.
- If an operator registers you, ask to see the entries and to receive a copy of the QR ticket before you travel.
- If you find an error, contact the park's call centre at once, using the number on our contact page.
- Keep the reply in writing and bring it with you.
Whether money can come back in any of these cases is a different question, answered on the page about refunds and closures.
Do you need a printout or a receipt?
IDN Times speaks only of a digital QR code to keep and show, so plan around that. If you paid through a seller, ask for the e-ticket as well as the seller's invoice, because an invoice shows what you paid that seller while the QR code is what is described as being shown at entry. For a receipt in the park's own name, ask its call centre.
No fallback is described for a code that will not load or scan either. A copy saved in advance deals with weak signal. Anything beyond that is for the call centre or a ranger to resolve on the day.
Who keeps the ticket when an operator books for you?
The guest is the person standing at the station, so the guest should hold a copy. The park's protocol requires agents, operators and guides to follow the rules and pass them on to their tourists, which makes it reasonable to ask an operator exactly what your ticket says. Komodo Resort, for one, says it handles permits and fees for its own guests. Other sellers may do it differently, so ask.
Whether you can reserve without an operator is disputed. The SiOra guide explains the system, and the page on booking tickets yourself sets out the disagreement.
Does an e-ticket cost more than the state ticket?
No separate charge for the e-ticket format is published. It is the same state ticket in digital form, so what you pay follows the official entrance fee list and the Komodo park entrance fee overview. Any extra line on a seller's invoice is that seller's charge and can be questioned as such.
What else do visitors ask about the SiOra e-ticket?
What is a SIORA e-ticket?
It is the digital ticket from the park's booking system, described by IDN Times as a QR code you keep and show at entry. It replaced on-site purchase, which RRI reports ended in April 2026.
Where do I show my SIORA QR code?
IDN Times says at entry to the park. Operator Samara adds that rangers may check the permit and passport at park stations, so keep both within reach while you are inside.
When do I need to show my SIORA QR code?
Published sources say only that it is shown at entry, without setting out a time. Keep it available for the whole visit, since Samara reports that checks can happen at stations.
Can I change the name on a SIORA booking?
Casa de Capulet, a hotel with a tours desk, says names cannot be corrected after registration and that tickets are non-transferable. Check spelling before you pay and ask the park if something is already wrong.
Do I need a passport for SIORA registration?
Operator Samara says it needs each guest's passport number, along with full name, gender and nationality. A scan upload and Indonesian visitors' identity documents are not described.

How do I reach the desk?
The desk cannot issue, alter or correct a SiOra ticket, and it holds no quota. It can answer questions about these rules on WhatsApp 628113823875 or by email. Since a trip request may end in a paid booking, we have a commercial interest in what you decide. Any commitment from our side exists only in a written offer that states the fee and the company contracting with you.
Send the desk your dates, nationality, and activities. The desk replies in writing.
