Sourced figures: fees in the table carry their source and check month. They are official or third-party figures, not our offers, and they change. This guide is not the park authority.

This Komodo National Park fee FAQ gives short answers with sources. In brief, the park authority's poster sets the ticket per person per day in rupiah, bookings go through SiOra, trekking and snorkeling are included while boats are not, and the poster calls tickets non-refundable. Questions without a verified answer are marked as open.

Answers here are brief on purpose, and each points to the page with the detail. For the overview, start with the Komodo National Park fee guide. This guide is not the park authority and does not sell tickets.

How much is the ticket?

What do foreign visitors pay?

One per-person, per-day line on the park authority's poster. The park head told Antara it is the same on holidays and working days. Residents and children are covered on the page for foreigners.

What do Indonesian visitors pay?

A lower rate on weekdays and Saturdays, and a higher one on Sundays and public holidays, collective leave included. Students travelling in a group of five or more have separate lines, set out in the guide for Indonesians.

Does diving cost extra?

Yes. The poster lists a scuba ticket per person per day on top of entrance. Antara reported the park head calling it per activity, but the poster and the regulation's table both say per day, which makes them the stronger sources. See the diving fee page.

Why do some sites quote dollars?

Official tariffs are in rupiah, so a dollar figure is either a conversion or a seller's own number. This site gives no dollar fee. The checking guide shows how to test one.

Which rule sets these figures?

Government Regulation 36/2024, enacted on 30 September 2024 and effective from 30 October 2024. The audit board's database lists it as in force. The explainer on PP 36/2024 sets out its main rules, and the timeline of fee changes lists what moved.

Is the ticket charged per day or per trip?

Per day, on every tourist line of the poster. Ocean Earth Travels, an operator, says a final liveaboard day ending in the morning is generally not counted, but that is its own reading and no official day-count rule is cited. The fee per day page works through the sums.

How do you book?

Where do tickets come from now?

From SiOra, the park's booking system. RRI reports that on-site purchase ended in April 2026, so turning up at a gate without a reservation is not a plan. The SiOra guide explains the system.

Can I book for myself?

Sources disagree. IDN Times, drawing on the park authority's announcement, describes visitors using the app or siora.id themselves, while Casa de Capulet, a hotel with a tours desk, says only licensed operators can register visitors. Try the app, or ask the park's call centre.

What do I receive?

A digital QR code ticket to show at entry, according to IDN Times. Dates and name details are handled in our e-ticket rules.

Is there a daily limit?

Yes. The park authority's public relations coordinator confirmed to Antara a cap of 1,000 visitors per day from 1 April 2026. Later adjustments are on the quota page.

Does a village walk replace the ticket?

No. A walk through Komodo Village arranged by locals still leaves park fees to be bought at another gate, according to siora.id.

What is included?

Does the ticket cover trekking and snorkeling?

Both are inside the ticket, along with wildlife observation, on the park head's statement to Antara. Scuba and sport fishing are not, since each has its own line on the poster.

Does it cover a boat or a hotel?

No. Indonesia's tourism ministry site excludes boats, accommodation and tour operator services. Whether a seller folds the ticket into a trip price is a separate question, answered on the page about fees inside tour prices.

Are harbour and conservation fees official?

Neither appears on the park's tariff poster. Operators report them, so treat them as operator claims until a seller shows you the document. Each has its own page: the harbour fee and the conservation fee.

Do boats pay too?

Yes. The poster has watercraft and cruise ship lines priced per unit per day, not per passenger. How that reaches your bill is up to the seller, as the boat entrance fee page explains.

Does a drone need more than a ticket?

Yes. The poster lists a charge per unit per day, and the park's drone page separately asks for aviation documents before a flight. Start with the drone permit page.

Can you get a refund?

Can a bought ticket be cancelled?

The poster says purchased tickets cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable, with no exception printed.

What about bad weather?

A force majeure exception appears in RRI's reporting, with extreme weather that closes all sailing as its example. The poster and that report do not match. The page on refunds and closures sets out both, along with what happened in past closures.

Can the park close after I book?

It has. During the January 2026 closure for extreme weather, the ministry says ticket sales in SiOra were suspended and existing ticket holders were told to coordinate with the park authority. Updates go out on the park authority's Instagram, @btn.komodo.

What if you enter without a ticket?

Is there a fine?

Yes. The regulation's table sets a fine of five times the normal entrance ticket, per person or unit per day. It is also shown in the price table on this page.

Is there any other consequence?

The park's visit protocol prohibits entering without the state ticket and required activity tickets, and classes it among heavy violations. For tourists, the protocol's sanction for a heavy violation is a six-month blacklist, possibly at other conservation areas as well.

What is not confirmed?

Each of these still needs an answer from the park, so none of them is guessed here:

  • A rate for KITAS holders. Only foreign and Indonesian tourists get lines on the poster. Ask the park authority.
  • A child or infant rate. The park's lines show no rate or free-entry age, an operator and a travel site claim otherwise without naming a line, and Article 14 of the regulation opens no specific exemption.
  • Foreign cards in SiOra today. Reports from 2025 list this as a gap, and nothing newer confirms a change. Look inside the app.
  • The refund procedure. Steps and timing are not in the official pages cited here.
  • Direct booking by individuals. Sources conflict, and the agent list on siora.id showed no entries on 3 November 2026.
  • An official harbour tariff. Only operators report the charge.
  • Anything for 2027. The official pages cited here carry no tariff, quota or sold-out dates, and this site does not predict them.
  • How ticket revenue is split or spent. No current official breakdown is available.

Which published prices did we check?

Official tariffs and, where labelled, figures reported by named operators or the press, each with its source and the month we checked it. These are not our prices or offers. Fees and rules change, and sources sometimes disagree, so check the source before you rely on a figure.

What else does this Komodo National Park fee FAQ answer?

What are the most common Komodo National Park fee questions?

They fall into five groups: what the ticket costs, how to book it, what it includes, whether it can be refunded, and what happens without one. Each group has its own section above.

What is not confirmed about Komodo National Park fees?

Rates for KITAS holders and children, current foreign card acceptance in SiOra, the refund procedure, direct booking by individuals, and anything for 2027. The list above says what to do about each.

Where can I get quick answers on Komodo park fees?

Use this page for short answers. For anything that decides your trip, ask the park authority's call centre, listed on our contact page, because only the park can confirm its own rules.

How much does a Komodo ticket cost today?

It depends on the visitor. Foreign tourists have one rate per person per day, while Indonesian tourists have a weekday-and-Saturday rate and a higher Sunday-and-holiday rate. The price table on this page shows all three with their source.

Is the Komodo ticket the same for every island?

The poster's entrance line depends on who you are and which day it is, and no island has a line of its own. One operator's per-island dollar list conflicts with it.

How do I reach the desk?

Question not listed? Put it to the desk on WhatsApp 628113823875 or by email. Fee questions get an answer from the sources above, or a pointer to the park when only the park can settle it. Trip requests sent to the desk can become paid bookings, and that is our commercial interest. Nothing binds until a written offer names the price and the contracting company.
