Sourced figures: fees in the table carry their source and check month. They are official or third-party figures, not our offers, and they change. This guide is not the park authority.

To check the Komodo National Park fee, start with the tariff poster on the park authority's website, then compare it with Government Regulation 36/2024 and the tourism ministry's page. Treat anything missing from those, including harbour and conservation lines, as a claim to question, and ask the park's call centre when a quote does not add up.
Which published prices did we check?
Official tariffs and, where labelled, figures reported by named operators or the press, each with its source and the month we checked it. These are not our prices or offers. Fees and rules change, and sources sometimes disagree, so check the source before you rely on a figure.
| Item | Published fee | Source | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entrance ticket, foreign tourist (official park tariff) | IDR 250,000 per person per day | tnkomodo.ksdae.kehutanan.go.id | Nov 2026 |
| Entrance ticket, Indonesian tourist, weekdays and Saturdays (official park tariff) | IDR 50,000 per person per day | tnkomodo.ksdae.kehutanan.go.id | Nov 2026 |
| Harbour fee on day trips (operator-reported, Ocean Earth Travels; not on the park tariff) | IDR 25,000 per person per day | oceanearthtravels.com | Nov 2026 |
| Conservation fee, foreign visitor (operator claim, Komodo Resort; not on the park tariff) | IDR 100,000 | komodoresort.com | Nov 2026 |
How to check the Komodo National Park fee: which sources are official?
Work down this list in order. Each source settles something the one below it cannot.
| Source | What it settles | Where it stops |
|---|---|---|
| Park authority tariff page | Lines and units by tourist category, based on PP 36/2024 | The tariffs are on a poster image, and it has no harbour or conservation line |
| PP 36/2024 in the audit board database | Legal status: enacted 30 September 2024, effective 30 October 2024, in force | Says nothing about what a tour company charges |
| Tourism ministry destination page | The same headline lines for foreign, Indonesian, diving and fishing tickets | Headline lines only |
| siora.id | Menu for Quota Information, SIMAKSI, Komodo Reservation and TA/TO Information | A service menu, with no legal force |
| Park call centre | The authority's answer to your specific question | Ask by WhatsApp or email so the answer is in writing |
The agreement between the two government sites matters. When the park authority and the tourism ministry give the same headline lines, a third-party figure that differs from both is the one needing an explanation. That does not make the third party dishonest. Travel pages age, and one written before the current tariff took effect on 30 October 2024 will not reflect it.
The price table on this page sets out the entrance lines as they appear on the poster, alongside two lines that do not come from it. Those two are labelled by source.
How do you read the tariff poster?
The poster is an image on the park's tariff page. The poster uses the term PNBP, the Indonesian name for non-tax state revenue. Four habits make it easier to read.
- Find your category first. It separates foreign tourists from Indonesian tourists, and the amounts differ considerably.
- Read the unit as carefully as the number. The entrance line is per person per day, so a figure quoted without a unit cannot be compared with it. Other lines use different units.
- Treat activity lines as additions. Diving and fishing appear as their own tickets.
- Look for what is absent. The poster has no harbour fee line and no conservation fee line.
That last point needs care. A missing line tells you the park's poster does not support the charge. It does not prove that nobody else levies something. Operators describe the harbour charge as a port item, and no port authority tariff is cited here, so they are the only source for it. Ask who collects a line that is not on the poster, under which rule, and whether you get a receipt from that body. Our notes on the Labuan Bajo harbour fee and the Komodo conservation fee follow those two lines further.
What should you do with a dollar quote?
Ask for the rupiah figure. Official tariffs are set in rupiah, there is no official dollar price, and any dollar number is somebody's conversion or estimate. For the same reason we give no dollar equivalent here, since it would go stale with the exchange rate.
An island-by-island dollar list is a good example of the confusion. The guide from operator Phinisi Trip gives approximate dollar tickets per island and also bundled route prices in rupiah. Those figures conflict with the poster and the ministry site, which show a single per-day entrance line rather than a separate price for each island. We are not suggesting anything about why the page reads that way. The point for you is that it cannot be used as the tariff.
When you receive a dollar quote, do three things in sequence. Ask which rupiah lines it is meant to cover. Convert it yourself at the rate on the day, using whichever source your bank uses. Then compare it with the poster lines for your party. If the gap is more than exchange rates explain, ask what else it contains.
How do you test a bundled figure?
A bundled price is one number covering several charges. You can test it with a small worksheet.
- Count person-days. Two foreign visitors on a three-day trip make six entrance units.
- Count activity units separately. If both dive on two of those days, that is four scuba units at the poster's per-day rate.
- Multiply each count by the poster line and add them up.
- Subtract that from the bundled figure. The remainder is what the seller needs to explain.
A remainder is not automatically a problem, since it may cover a harbour charge, a guide, a boat or a margin. Sellers present these lines differently, and our page on whether the fee is included in a tour has questions for that conversation.
Watch for named lines that do not match the poster. Komodo Resort, for instance, describes a separate conservation fee, which appears in the price table with that attribution. If you feel you have been overcharged, a mismatch of this kind is a question to put to the seller first and to the park second. Keep the quote, the breakdown and any receipt together. To compare against the basic ticket itself, start from the Komodo National Park entrance fee page.
Is komodonationalpark.org the official source for the fee?
Not for current tariffs. That site calls itself the official website of Komodo National Park and says it is maintained by the Indonesian park authority and The Nature Conservancy. Its home page shows a last update in 2017, and its park finance page shows 2015, both well before the tariff that took effect on 30 October 2024. It remains useful as history, for instance on how park revenue was described in 2015, but a rule or figure found there cannot stand in for the current poster. For tariffs, use the park authority page on kehutanan.go.id, and for booking, use siora.id.
Who can you ask?
The park authority's own contact details, as published on its site, are:
- Office: Jalan Kasimo, Labuan Bajo
- WhatsApp: +62 811-3829-0000
- Email: balaitamannasionalkomodo@gmail.com
A ministry release from January 2026 names the same number as the park call centre, so two official documents agree on it. This site does not answer on the park's behalf. A short message will get the most useful reply: state your category, your dates, the activities planned and the exact line you want confirmed, then paste the wording from your quote.
For closures, as opposed to prices, the same release says decisions follow weather warnings from BMKG and sailing permits from the port authority, with updates on the park authority's Instagram account, @btn.komodo. Look there if your dates are affected.
What should a written quote show?
Ask any seller for these items in writing before you pay:
- The tourist category applied to each person.
- The number of park days charged, and the rate per person per day in rupiah.
- Each activity ticket as its own line, with the number of units.
- Any line not on the poster, with the name of the body said to collect it.
- Whether park tickets sit inside the trip price or are paid separately.
- The name of the company you are contracting with.
- How you will receive proof of your park ticket.
A quote that shows all of this can be checked in minutes against the official sources. If a seller will not show these lines, put the same questions to the park authority. Fees and rules change, so repeat the check close to departure, even for a quote you checked months earlier. For the day count behind the second item, use the per-day page. Foreign travellers can compare against the fee for foreigners. A quote built on a date with no places has a bigger problem, so look at the quota page too, and if a seller says only it can register you, read whether you can book tickets yourself. For a plain summary of each charge, the Komodo National Park fee overview and the short FAQ are the quickest references.
What else do people ask about checking the fee?
How do I verify a Komodo park fee someone has quoted me?
Compare it line by line with the poster on the park authority's tariff page, using the same unit. Then send the wording of any line you cannot match to the park's WhatsApp number and ask them to confirm it.
How much is the Komodo National Park fee in US dollars?
There is no official dollar price. Tariffs are set in rupiah, so convert the poster figure at the day's exchange rate and treat the result as an estimate of what you will pay.
Is the fee a flat dollar amount per island?
Not on the official sources. The poster and tourism ministry show rupiah lines, with a per-day entrance ticket. One operator guide does list approximate dollar tickets per island, and that conflicts with both.
Where can I find the official Komodo National Park fee list?
On the park authority's page titled harga karcis dan daya dukung wisata, as a poster image. The legal basis is Government Regulation 36/2024, available through the audit board's regulation database.
Is my Komodo National Park booking confirmed?
A booking with a tour company and a park ticket are separate things, and this site can see neither. Ask the company for proof of the ticket, and ask the park's call centre if you need its view of a reservation.

How do I reach the desk?
Our desk can look over a trip request with you on WhatsApp at +62 811-3823-875 or by email to the desk. For a ruling on a park tariff, the park authority is the right place. We are a guide under Juara Holding Group and earn commercially when a request becomes a paid booking, so weigh our view with that in mind. Prices, any fee and the contracting company appear in a written offer before you agree, and nothing else binds. See the disclaimer.
Send the desk your dates, nationality, and activities. The desk replies in writing.
